Honey Garlic Shrimp

Scrumptiously sticky and juicy honey garlic shrimp recipe that’s so tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients
– 2 tsp Olive Oil
– ⅓ cup honey
– ¼ cup Soy Sauce
– 1 tbsp minced garlic
– 1 pound Medium sized shrimp
– ½ to 1 tsp ground ginger
– Green Onion

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the marinade Start by gathering the following ingredients: honey, soy sauce, and garlic. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine equal parts of honey and soy sauce (e.g., 1/4 cup each). Add 2-3 cloves of minced garlic to the mixture and stir well to combine. Divide this marinade into two equal portions. Take the shrimp (1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp) and place them into a large resealable plastic bag (such as a Ziploc bag). Pour one half of the marinade into the bag, ensuring that the shrimp are well coated.

Step 2: Marinate the shrimp Before sealing the plastic bag, press out as much air as possible. This will help the marinade to better penetrate the shrimp and infuse them with flavor. Refrigerate the bag for a minimum of 15 minutes, but if you have time, marinating for up to 10 hours will yield even better results. The longer the shrimp marinate, the more flavorful they will become.

Step 3: Cook the shrimp When you’re ready to cook the shrimp, begin by preheating a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the skillet, allowing it to heat up. Remove the marinated shrimp from the refrigerator and the plastic bag, and place them into the skillet in a single layer, taking care not to overcrowd them. Cook the shrimp for 45 seconds on one side, until they start to turn pink and opaque.
